The Galaxy Note is definitely one of Samsung’s best-selling products in the market and that is apparent with the million of devices being sold in the market. In fact, the number is rising by the date as it is one of the first few smartphones that come with a stylus. It wasn’t new but it wasn’t a trend to do so anymore.



With the release of the Galaxy Note , Samsung just has to make it bigger and with that comes the Galaxy Note 10.1. It is a 10.1 inch device with a screen that has a resolution of 1280×800. No, it isn’t anything close to the iPad Retina Display but it works just as good. In addition to that, its 1.4GHz dual-core processor with 1GB RAM makes it just as powerful as any other dual-core tablets in the market. In fact, Samsung has got the Google Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich on this device which makes it one of the few that comes with that version of Android natively.


Like the 5.3-inch version, this 10.1- inch tablet also comes with an S-Pen digitizer which is certainly one of the handiest features that a tablet this size should have. It is good to take notes or just to scribble around with this tablet as it works seamlessly, much like how a pen is to a paper.

According to sources Sony V150 Tegra 3 CPU tablet has an NVIDIA 1.4GHz quad core processor. It has a resolution of 1280 into 752 pixels and a display of 1200 into 800. Competitor to release soon

The new iPad that is to release soon has a resolution of 2048*1536 pixels and display of 1080p including Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime HD, this Sony V150 tablet with 1280*800 resolution won’t be able to impress many people.
In a benchmark review, it was rated a 59.70 overtaking Sony’s previous releases like gen Sony’s tablet and is now working equally praiseworthy as Tegra 3 tablets.
Sony V150 does not seem to have much unless it has some hidden features that have not been revealed yet.

Apple Plans nano-SIM: Rivals Irritated



A unique nano-SIM design conceived and proposed by Giesecke & Devrient, which was announced late last year, seems to have become a major bone of contention in Europe. Apple plans to use this technology in its devices, but feels that it would require a sort of “drawer” to protect it, just like in the iPhone and the iPad. Now, Apple’s main rivals, namely, Motorola, Nokia and RIM, are taking up cudgels against the company.
Of course, irrespective of what anyone has to say about it, the standard would be open to all manufacturers under license. Hence, it seems that Apple’s rivals are actually afraid of the fact that the company may someday even think of owning all the patents relating to this proposal.
Not only that; the rivals probably are fearing that, if Apple goes ahead with this plan and goes ahead to own the said patents, they may be forced to re- design their handsets to meet the new standards. Nokia, along with Motorola and RIM, firmly states that its competing design has “significant technical advantages” over Apple’s design.


In the meantime, Apple has started moving ahead with its proposal and is already requesting for support from many of Europe’s major service providers. Needless to say, they seem to be very much in agreement with Apple’s plans.
It is further believed that Apple is trying to increase its own number of votes in the ETSI, by registering six European subsidiaries as voting bodies. Each of these can have up to 45 votes. Currently, Nokia is in the lead here, with a total of 92 votes. But then, the entire complexion of the game could change if Apple is able to succeed with its plans.
Well, if this proposal actually goes through, we will all have to go through another tremendous wave of change, adopting to the emerging technology. Mobile carriers too will be put to a considerable degree of trouble, due to all this.

The Samsung Galaxy S III is expected to be as big and as successful as its Galaxy S II predecessor. The dual-core processor will be replaced instead with a quad-core Exynos processor. This processor is made by Samsung and is expected to be distributed to a handful of the company’s future high- end products. The Exynos Chip is expected not to only support the WCDMA network but also 4G LTE which, in return will make it a pretty speedy processor for any devices that use it.

There has yet to be an exact date on when the device will be released but we’re guessing it will be some time. Hopefully, these devices would be on par with the A5X processor available on the new iPad as well. Should that be possible, the winner of this competition would be clear.

The popular on-demand TV service from BBC- iPlayer will now be available in the Microsoft Xbox 360 gaming console. The iPlayer was launched back in 2007 and created a revolution in the catch-up TV. It has taken about three years for BBC to crack the deal with Microsoft. The iPlayer will obviously be using the kinect system- enabling interacting via gestures and voice, which has been the stand-out feature of the gaming console.

The iPlayer is an internet TV and radio service. According to BBC, the iPlayer was viewed about 433 million times in TV gadgets, in 2011 accounting for about 25 percent of the requests. By 2015, BBC estimates that less than 50 percent requests will be from PCs- the rest will come from TV devices in which the gaming console will have a lion’s share.
Other News The next new platform in iPlayer is the Anytime+ service from Sky but an exact launch date has not been announced. Meanwhile, Microsoft says that unlike its chief competitor Nintendo, it ought not to discuss the successor to the Xbox 360. Nintendo is all set to announce its new Wii U at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles.

Sony has a lot of mobile phones under its Xperia label and most of these are powered by Google Android as well. However, there is none that is powered by Android version 4.0 which is Ice Cream Sandwich but that will soon change when the Xperia Neo L is released. This device will be the company’s first ICS phone in the market.



Sporting a 4 inch screen, the Xperia Neo L is a mid-range phone by Sony which bears no Ericsson name in its label. It comes with a 1GHz single-core processor by Qualcomm and has a 512MB RAM for operating system purposes as well. Inside it is also a 5 megapixel camera which delivers acceptable quality photos. In addition to that, DLNA and HDMI out support is also available on the Xperia Neo L making it a suitable device for entertainment purposes as well.
What is interesting about this device is that it is powered by Ice Cream Sandwich and is the company’s first device that fully supports it natively. However, the sad thing is that this device is only available in the Chinese market and there is no telling whether it will be made available in other countries as well.
