Not many iPhone users would leave out Instagram in their must-have application list. This is because the application is simply versatile and does much more than just take photographs. Their filters easily make pictures better than they normally are and by uploading the photos online, users can also share it through multiple ways such as with Facebook and Twitter.
Its popularity is without a doubt and that is why the current user of Instagram has reached 27 million users. This is definitely a milestone for the company as it is one of the few app developer that had managed to get this much number of users. In addition to that, Instagram made this all possible through only one medium and that is through iOS devices. With millions of users using it, the market from this particular platform itself is already lucrative.
Nevertheless, it didn’t stop the founder Kevin Systrom from teasing Android users about the application that he started. In South by Southwest, Systrom said a lot about his application and how it will soon be made available on Android although there is no exact date on when the launch would be. When Instagram for Android is launched, expect the number of users to increase exponentially.
